2 Days in Hong Kong: Day 2, Kowloon, Afternoon Tea, and a Rooftop Picnic

Day 2 started with brunch, then we hopped on the ferry to Kowloon, another part of the island of Hong Kong. One thing that held true through our entire visit was that Hong Kong offered some of the best views of any city I have ever visited. 

If I had to choose one word to describe Kowloon it would be, chaotic. There were people everywhere, all trying to get your attention and get you to listen to their spiel about what they were selling.

After browsing the beautiful Lane Crawford we realized we probably wouldn’t be buying anything in this mall and decided to move on to Kowloon Park. In the US Lane Crawford is a plus size store, in Hong Kong Lane Crawford is the leading luxury specialty store, housing Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin, Emilio Pucci, and many more.

We briefly walked through the Kowloon Night Market, but we found ourselves in the less-tourist friendly part of the neighborhood, and decided to call it a day.

And it was off to afternoon tea!

We ended the night with a picnic on top of the IFC Roof, admiring the spectacular views, soaking in the amazing city, and wondering why we don’t have more ‘make your own picnic on the roof’ places like this back home.
